I don’t, think I have enough pork rinds that’s better. Today, we’re talking about pork rinds. Now, when it comes to pork rinds, you either love them or you hate them, and I happen to be in the category that I love them, but I wasn’t always there.
So if you are in that same category, I’m here to convince you why you should start liking pork rinds, because they’re so versatile. So I’m, going to show you ten ways that you can use. Pork rinds on the keto diet.
Let’s, get started. The majority of people eat pork rinds like their chips, especially on the keto diet. This is our only chip alternative, but there’s, so many ways that you can consume pork, rinds and the first way is to make a little treat.
I’m, going to show you how to make a keto pork rind sopapilla. Now a Sylva Pia is a traditional Mexican, fried bread that’s, topped with whipped cream and honey and strawberries. So this is my play on that it’s, not an actual sopapilla, but it’s.
Pretty darn close, what you do is you take a pork rind and then squirt a little dollop of keto, whipped cream on top and then sprinkle it with cinnamon. This makes a delicious sweet, treat or perfect snack that you can give to your kids and they’re very simple to make, so you can just make them on the fly whenever you have a sweet tooth.
Another way that you can use pork rinds to make a dessert option is to make keto puppy chow puppy chow is where you combine a cereal like Chex Mix cereal like the rice Chex, along with peanut butter and chocolate and butter to form a delicious snack.
It’s also called like moose, munch or bloody tracks. All has a bunch of different names, but it’s, actually a very, very simple dessert that you can make, and I’m, going to show you how to make the keto version to make the keto version.
We’re. Gonna add butter, almond butter and chocolate chips to a bowl, and now these chocolate chips that I’m using our queue to approve chocolate chips, I get mine from choc zero. I’ll, have a link down below on where you can purchase them.
We’re gonna melt these together and stir it until it’s combined and then we add in our pork rinds. If you want to make sure you’re using plain pork, rinds don’t get the flavored ones, especially like a chili line, because it’s, probably not going to taste very good.
You want to stir these until they’re fully coated and then transfer it to a paper bag and then add a little bit of confectioner’s. Swerve give it a good shake to coat it, and your puppy chow is ready.
This snack is crunchy, sweet and delicious. Another way that you can use pork rinds and the keto diet is to make nachos, and I’m sure that a lot of you have actually already tried this. So you’re, just gonna use pork rinds as your tortilla chips, so lay down a little bit of pork rinds.
You can top it with your favorite nacho toppings like ground beef, cheese, tomato olives, onions, cilantro, sour cream, guacamole. Just add it all. On there another way that you can use pork rinds on the keto diet, isn’t.
Really it’s, something that you eat, but it’s, something that you make so you can actually make pork rind garlands out of pork rinds, and so this would be fun to put on your Christmas tree around Christmastime.
Instead of making popcorn garland, you can use pork, rind, garland and just sneak up to the tree and have a bite. So do it like that or you could actually know what I’m looking at it, make a nice cool necklace.
So, instead of like a candy necklace, this could be a pork rind necklace, so you’ll, always have like a snack with you in case you ever get hungry. Another way that you can have pork rinds on the keto diet is to make your own flavors now.
I know a lot of them. Come free, flavors like this one. This one is a jalapeno cheddar, pork rind, but you can actually make different flavor combinations, especially if you only have access to the plain pork rinds.
So some of my favorite are just to sprinkle a little bit of chili powder and lime onto the pork rinds, shake it up to come coat. The entire pork rind combination – or you can add some cinnamon and a little bit of monk fruit and it creates a sweet and salty pork brain.
So if you really like the taste of a churro, this is one pork rind combination that you should make one of my favorite ways to eat. Pork rinds on the keto diet is to make a snack mix or trail mix with them.
So if you’re making a snack mix, you would want to add your pork rinds. You can add some peanuts, maybe some salami sticks or cheese, widths or even moon cheese. So just add that together give it a good mix and portion it out into snack bags.
The other way is to make trail mix, and I have a recipe on my website that uses pork rinds in my trail mix I use ground pork rinds. Add some cocoa butter to them. You can even juice use melted, chocolate if you wanted to, and there’s, seeds and other nuts that go along with there, and I make these delicious pork rind clusters.
It’s, a really nice treat to have when you’re having a handful of just nuts and chocolate and coconut I’ll, have my full recipe for my trail mix listed down below, for you guys. I also have a video that you can just click on up here to watch it, but the way that I use pork rinds the most is, if I’m, trying to use them as a substitute for breading.
So if I’m, making fried chicken or fried avocados, I actually use the pork rinds ground up pork rinds and coat the outside of my and then once you fry it up either in the frying pan with some oil or you can pop it.
An air fryer: it gets the outside nice and crispy, so it’s, a good way to put on a crispy coat on the outside of any food, and you can take pork rinds and put them in the food processor or a blender or just Pound them out with a hammer or a rolling pin.
If you want to to make your own ground pork rinds, I actually buy mine on their own. The brand I buy is pork panko. I got this from Amazon and they’re already pre ground pork rinds, they taste delicious it’s, a really fine consistency too.
So you don’t, have really big chunks of pork right in there. So check these guys out it’s. My favorite brand. Another sweet way that you can use pork rinds on the keto diet is to make rice krispies treats.
These are keto rice krispies treats. So once again, we’re using the pork rinds in the place of a crispy rice cereal. We’re gonna start by making a keto marshmallow base. We’re gonna, add gelatin, cold water and vanilla to a small bowl and mix it together until it’s.
An applesauce consistency set that aside and then in a small saucepan. We’re gonna add a cup of water confectioner’s, swerve and salt, and we’re, going to stir this over medium heat. Then we’re gonna remove it from the heat pour in our gelatin mixture and then using our electric mixer.
We’re gonna beat it until we get a marshmallow crème consistency. Now our marshmallows are ready. We’re gonna pour this into a bowl with some coarsely ground up pork, rinds and add a little bit of butter to.
I bet you guys never thought that you could have rice krispies treats on the keto diet. Well, now you can another common way that I like to use. Pork rinds on the keto diet is to use them as flowers, so I have a recipe for a carnivore waffle that uses pork rinds instead of almond flour.
So I’ll. Have that recipe link down below for you, but there’s, other ways that you can use ground pork rinds as flour substitutes as well like, for instance, there’s, a recipe that Nicole downs has she has the Instagram page? Oh my keto.
She also wrote a book. It’s called keto for foodies. It’s, a fabulous book. You should definitely check it out anyway. She has a recipe for Porky pancakes and it’s. A way that you can make pancakes out of pork rinds in a small bowl, we whisk together two eggs, two tablespoons of heavy cream, a teaspoon of cinnamon, a teaspoon of sweetener and an eighth of a teaspoon of salt.
Then we’re add in a half of a cup of our pork, panko stir it until it’s combined and just ladle this onto a skillet with the melted butter and then cook it up just like a regular pancake. I also like to use my pork rinds as a booby-trap.
It’s, a good way to alert you if there’s intruders or any sort of predator coming just sprinkle, some pork rinds down at the front of your door or by your windows, and yore have a port rind alert, once they step on those.
If somebody’s coming, I’m really curious. Do you love pork rinds, or do you fall in that category that hates pork rinds and did I convince you? Otherwise, let me know down in the comments.
